‘Thinking Smart’ is a teen prevention substance group that provides evidenced-based treatment for at-risk teens ages 12-17, who may be exhibiting risk-based decision making. It is held at the Crown Point office on Wednesdays from 5pm-630pm. The group consists of 12 modules that focus on refusing negative peer pressure, coping with life stressors/urges, making healthy choices, and education on the dangers of alcohol and substance use. The group is currently grant funded and free to join. Standards are achieved through engaging, and thought provoking interactive activities where teens learn how to manage emotions, and set/achieve goals.
